Tickets for the Emerge Film Festival, taking place Friday and Saturday, June 13 and 14, are now available for purchase at www.francocenter.org.
The festival will kick off on Friday at 8:30 p.m. with a “Friday the 13th Horror Film Double Feature” at the Franco Center in Lewiston. Sponsored by Baxter Brewing Co., the event will feature two movies by Maine filmmaker Corey Norman, “The Hanover House” and “Natal.” Baxter Brewing Co. will be on hand to sell beer to moviegoers.
The festival will continue on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with screenings of features, documentaries and short films at multiple venues across the Twin Cities. While films are still being scheduled, the line-up currently includes more than 30 films from filmmakers across Maine, the U.S. and the world.
The festival will culminate on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. with the first-cut screening of “Richard3,” from Michael Miclon’s Boo Dog films, at the Franco Center. An after-party with the cast and crew, featuring music, a cash bar and refreshments, will follow the film.
On Friday at 5 p.m., preceding the Horror Double Feature, a special filmmakers’ kick-off party will take place at Baxter Brewing Co. The event will feature opportunities to meet and greet the filmmakers and tour the Baxter Brewing facility; two beer tickets will be included with the price of admission.
