Medical marijuana seminar at APL

Remedy Compassion Center, one of eight nonprofit medical marijuana dispensaries certified by the Department of Health and Human Services, will be hosting a free seminar, “All About Medical Marijuana,” at the Auburn Public Library’s Community Room, 49 Spring St. in Auburn on Saturday, Jan. 22 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Guest speaker Dr. Dustin Sulak, D.O., will present information about how marijuana affects the body, smoke-free alternatives, optimal dosage, and the various strains used to treat different ailments. Dr. Sulak is an osteopathic physician with a practice in Hollowell, Maine. He has lectured on integrative medicine, medical marijuana, and the endocannabinoid system to clinicians and patients across the country.

Representatives from Remedy Compassion Center will also explain the state registration process and what patients can expect to find at their Auburn Dispensary that will be opening this spring. There will be time for questions and answers as well.
