Northeast Bank Community Banking Division President Jeanne Hulit presents a $5,000 donation check to City of Lewiston Finance Director Heather Hunter.

Northeast Bank announced recently that it will donate $5,000 towards the restoration of the historic bandstand in Lewiston’s Kennedy Park.

“We are proud to support such an important and historically significant landmark in the community” said Jeanne A. Hulit, President of the Community Banking Division. “We hope our contribution will further the efforts of the Bandstand Restoration Committee to create a space where residents and visitors alike can enjoy what Lewiston-Auburn has to offer.”

The Kennedy Park Bandstand Restoration Committee was formed in 2013 with a goal of reviving the historic bandstand – originally built in 1868 – as a destination for local arts and cultural events.
