A “Celtic Christmas Extravaganza” at Franco Center

The critically acclaimed Boston String Quartet brings a Celtic Christmas Extravaganza to the Franco-American Heritage Center on Tuesday, December 20 at 7:30 p.m. This year’s featured vocalist is Pan Morigan.

For the second year, The Boston String Quartet returns to its New England roots to thrill audiences with their signature mix of music and movement, original storytelling and holiday joy. Be prepared for a thrilling concert of soaring Irish melodies, thumping rhythmic patterns, and Celtic flavor. With their engaging and refreshing take on beloved holiday favorites, the quartet incorporates the vocal stylings of Pan Morigan into their repertoire.

This symphony presents a youthful twist on standard classics, as well as sights and sounds unlike any other you may have experienced. For a sneak peak of their holiday favorites, visit the BSQ YouTube Channel! Perfect for all ages, it promises to be a night to remember.

Pan Morigan is an award-winning vocalist, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist and producer. She is known for her silvery, wide-ranging voice and passionate stage presence. Her genre-defying songs are influenced equally by the wide, stormy skies and wild lakes of the Midwest, where she was raised, and the experience of living, as a child, in a city full of immigrants and seekers whose music was everywhere to be heard, live and percolating. Most important, Pan calls her songs “music of the imagination.”

Since 2004, The Boston String Quartet has created exciting waves as New England’s leading contemporary string ensemble. The impact of their musical success, ignited with their refreshing approach, has not just been enjoyed in the New England area. Frequent U.S. tours have taken them to the Los Angeles Music Awards, even to the likes of former President, George H. W. Bush.

Now, New England’s revered musical talent returns to honor the area that gave them their musical wings, and towns across the area will be been given an opportunity to be amongst the privileged list of those honored to witness The Boston String Quartet’s musical genius and unseen approach.
