Business-to-Business Trade Show set for June 12

The 19th annual Androscoggin Business-to-Business Trade Show, “Building for the Future,” will take place on Thursday, June 12 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston.

Presented by the Lewiston-Auburn Economic Growth Council and sold out the last eight years, Maine’s premier one-day business networking event has grown to attract 2,500 business professionals and nearly 200 exhibitors from throughout New England.

With so many ways for businesses to connect with their customers through company websites, Facebook, Twitter, and other outlets, show organizers point out that nothing beats a face-to-face connection. “As invaluable as social media has become, I think it is critically important to remember the significance of meeting someone in person,” noted trade show coordinator Dina Jackson. “The opportunity to shake someone’s hand, answer their questions and demonstrate your product or explain your service in person is priceless.”

With a full-service website providing businesses and attendees the ability to register online, and the added bonus of Facebook and Twitter, show organizers are focusing on providing cost-effective ways for businesses to meet new customers and reconnect with existing ones. In keeping with the theme of cost-effectiveness, booth fees have remained the same, with costs ranging from $225 to $625 per space. Additional discounts and savings are available for Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce members. There is no fee for business professionals to attend the event when a business card is presented at the door.

Many popular mainstays of the show will be back again this year, including the Chamber of Commerce kick-off breakfast at the Ramada Inn of Lewiston, impressive prize drawings, and a Business After Hours event featuring local restaurants.

Booth spaces are still available. For more information about exhibiting or sponsorship opportunities, contact Dina Jackson at (207) 784-0161 or djackson@economicgrowth.org or see www.b2bMaineTradeShow.com.
