Pettingill School Park was the recipient of another donation from the Lewiston-Auburn Community Forest Board. A Tulip tree (Liriodendron tulipifera) purchased from funds provided by Central Maine Power was planted along the park’s College Street boundary. Friends of Pettingill thanks Richard Shea, chairman of the citizen’s group, and Steve Murch and his crew from Lewiston Public Works for doing the planting.
