“Lewiston Remembers Its Musical Eras” this weekend
The Lewiston Youth Advisory Council will lead those attending on a trip down memory lane when they present a multimedia program called “Lewiston Remembers Its Musical Eras” on Saturday, December 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lewiston Armory.
Free and open to the public, the program was organized by the LYAC as a positive way to unite generations of the city’s residents through music and historical reflection. “We have learned so much about Lewiston’s history while planning this event, and we are proud of Lewiston’s past and its present,” said LYAC Chair Jazy Dumas.
The program will include a slideshow about Lewiston; period dance demonstrations, refreshments, and music by DJ-Brian C; “I Remember When” audience interviews; a look back at the PALHOP; and a musical finale by Weatherhead. For more information about the program, contact LYAC advisor Dottie Perham-Whittier at 513-3000, ext. 3205.
