Maine-ly Harmony

The Maine-ly Harmony women’s barbershop chorus of Augusta recently traveled to the town of Devens, Massachusetts for a weekend of competition against other women’s barbershop choruses from across New England and Canada. They returned home thrilled to achieve a judging score that will propel them to the international competition in Providence, Rhode Island, in November.

Directed by Kathy Greason of Brunswick, the group consists of women of all ages hailing from Bangor, Albion, Fayette, Readfield, Freeport, Belgrade, Old Town, South China, and other Central Maine communities. They meet Wednesday evenings in Augusta to sing in the barbershop style of four-part harmony. All are invited to attend a rehearsal and participate in the singing and fun of this lively group of women. For more information, contact Donna Ryder at 582-5523 or aryder3@roadrunner.com.
