Auburn to celebrate 5th annual Dinny Sullivan Day

The City of Auburn will celebrate local businesses while enjoying a day of fun with its fifth annual “Salute to Dinny Sullivan – Hats Off to Neighborhood Businesses” Day on Saturday, March 12. Numerous businesses and non-profit agencies around town will host activities. The community is invited to join in the fun.

The Dinny Sullivan Day celebration has three purposes: to recognize local businesses for their hard work and numerous contributions to the community; to provide an opportunity for local non-profits to organize an activity or event to raise funds or awareness for their work; and to encourage all to come out and enjoy the day in Auburn.

The event will honor local companies by posting company information on a display at City Hall, on the city’s website, on GFTV and through social media. Residents and community members are invited to submit the names of favorite neighborhood businesses for inclusion.

A small sampling of the day’s events is listed below. For a complete schedule, or for more information about how to get involved, check the City of Auburn’s website or contact Leroy Walker at 577-2694 or Tizz Crowley at tizzcrowley@yahoo.com.
